A look behind the curtain

Thursday the Digital Digest winners took a behind the scenes look at Fanfest. While later this evening or tomorrow I'll break down each soundbite I first wanted to thank the staff of the Royals for this opportunity. Mike Swanson and Dave Holtzman were top notch in explaining the process of finally coming around to the social media format and reshaping their thoughts on that field. Whether you think that bloggers should be involved in this type of format or not the fact that Swanson in particular has changed his ideas is the first step and from there we (bloggers/social media) have to prove that we can provide something worthy of the opportunity. It's a refreshing step from what some of us view as a old timer organization.
