Quote of the day

"It's obviously very prudent for him to start in Triple A." Dayton Moore talking about Eric Hosmer

For those of us living in the Omaha area is a great thing. Some have said Hos might restart the year in AA but this signal by Moore could lead to a tremendous lineup to watch everyday.

1. David Lough LF
2. Johnny Giavotella 2b
3. Eric Hosmer 1b
4. Mike Moustakas 3b
5. Clint Robinson DH
6. Paulo Orlando RF
7. Manny Pina C
8. Irving Falu or Joaquin Arias SS
9. Jarrod Dyson CF

Would love Jirschele to hit Lough in that leadoff spot so he can try to expand on his patient approach from the second half(.403 OBP) last season. Also it should push David into trying to steal more bases which he should be able to do with his above average speed.

  1. If Bianchi is healthy to start the season, don't you think he edges out Falu/Arias to start at short. IF that were to happen you have a lineup of 9 prospects. Kind of a rarity at triple a. Something to definetly be proud of.

  2. So you are on the "Cain better be in the big leagues to start the season" bandwagon? I agree with you on that. D.Rob to try AA again? I think he is more of a prospect than Orlando. I do like that lineup ALOT!

Maybe a rotation that will include Monty, Duffy, Dwyer, Lamb, Crow, Teaford, Osuna, and others at some point during the season.

  3. LA - I like Bianchi I just think he is held back a tad maybe goes back to AA for a bit until he's ready for the bounce up. He'll be there before the end of the season. HUGE YEAR FOR HIM, make or break.

Kyle - I see both scenarios, I think he'll beat out Melky in the spring. If he's good enough to start in Milwaukee he's definitely good enought to start in KC
